Housekeeping Supervisor (Resort)

Housekeeping keeps a casino hotel in Hammarsdale running quietly in the background. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a casino hotel on the Hammarsdale side of KwaZulu-Natal.

• Do evening turndowns with chocolates and curtain closing.
• Wash, dry and press linen and table cloths in the laundry.
• Vacuum, mop and dust rooms from top to bottom.
• Restock minibars, amenities and tea trays and note what was used.
• Report broken fittings, leaks and damage to maintenance.

• Hotel, guesthouse or domestic cleaning experience
• Grade 10 or higher
• Weekend and public holiday work
• You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift
• Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
• You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow

• Basic first aid certificate
• Chemical handling training
• Laundry machine and steam press experience

• Monthly award for best room scores
• Uniform and protective gloves supplied
• Meals on duty

• A clean, clear police clearance helps; mention it if you have a recent one.
• Write how many rooms per shift you managed at your last job; supervisors look for that number.
