Housekeeping Supervisor (Resort) – Entry Level

You'll clean and set up guest rooms at a conference hotel in Mbombela to a checklist standard. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll be based at a conference hotel in Mbombela. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Mix chemicals safely and store them as the MSDS sheet shows.
• Report broken fittings, leaks and damage to maintenance.
• Vacuum, mop and dust rooms from top to bottom.
• Hand in lost property with a written log entry.
• Do evening turndowns with chocolates and curtain closing.
• Update room status on the housekeeping app or board after each room.
• Strip beds, make them up with fresh linen and square the corners.

• You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
• Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
• Grade 10 or higher
• Hotel, guesthouse or domestic cleaning experience

• Chemical handling training
• A supervisor course or time spent running a floor
• Basic first aid certificate

• Meals on duty
• Uniform and protective gloves supplied
• Staff transport from nearby townships for early shifts
• Monthly award for best room scores

• Write how many rooms per shift you managed at your last job; supervisors look for that number.
