Housekeeping Supervisor (Resort)

You'll clean and set up guest rooms at a casino hotel in Montague Gardens to a checklist standard. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The work is in Montague Gardens, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Inspect rooms against the checklist before release to front office.
• Strip beds, make them up with fresh linen and square the corners.
• Clean bathrooms, showers and toilets with the correct colour-coded cloths.
• Do evening turndowns with chocolates and curtain closing.
• Hand in lost property with a written log entry.
• Restock minibars, amenities and tea trays and note what was used.

• You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
• Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day
• Grade 10 or higher
• Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
• Weekend and public holiday work
• Hotel, guesthouse or domestic cleaning experience

• A supervisor course or time spent running a floor
• Chemical handling training
