Housekeeping Supervisor (Resort) – Experienced

Housekeeping keeps a bush lodge in Richards Bay running quietly in the background. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Location: Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Report broken fittings, leaks and damage to maintenance.
• Clean bathrooms, showers and toilets with the correct colour-coded cloths.
• Restock minibars, amenities and tea trays and note what was used.
• Wash, dry and press linen and table cloths in the laundry.
• Update room status on the housekeeping app or board after each room.

• Weekend and public holiday work
• Grade 10 or higher
• Hotel, guesthouse or domestic cleaning experience
• Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day
• Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings

• Basic first aid certificate
• Laundry machine and steam press experience
• A supervisor course or time spent running a floor

• Meals on duty
• Staff transport from nearby townships for early shifts
• Uniform and protective gloves supplied
• Monthly award for best room scores

• Many hotels recruit through walk-ins at the staff entrance, so ask for the housekeeping office and leave your CV there.
• Write how many rooms per shift you managed at your last job; supervisors look for that number.
