HR Manager (Small to Medium Business)

Keeping a logistics group in Bloemfontein fair, legal and well staffed is the heart of this job. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Location: Bloemfontein, Free State. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Compile the Employment Equity report and the Workplace Skills Plan.
• Run onboarding, contracts and probation reviews for new staff.
• Update HR policies when labour law changes.
• Consult with shop stewards and attend union meetings.
• Coordinate training and submit SETA grant claims on time.
• Track leave, absenteeism and sick notes and act on patterns.

• CCMA experience, at least at conciliation
• Solid working knowledge of the LRA, BCEA and EEA
• Confident facilitating hard conversations with managers and unions
• Valid driver's licence for multi-site roles
• At least 3 years as an HR officer or generalist
• A degree or diploma in HR management, labour relations or industrial psychology

• Prepare for a case-study question on dismissing an employee fairly, and walk through procedure and substance.
