Hygiene Cleaner (Food Factory Night Crew) – Permanent

Industrial cleaners are always in demand; this crew works a commercial kitchen in Isando. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

The work is in Isando, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Clean drains and grease traps in commercial kitchens
• Lock out machines before cleaning, as the safety file requires
• Foam, scrub and rinse walls, floors and conveyors with approved chemicals
• Strip down and wash production equipment after the last run
• Run a high-pressure washer on grease, oil and slurry build-up

• Grade 10 or better; you must read chemical labels and safety data sheets
• Respect for chemical safety and PPE
• Willing to work nights and weekends when plants shut down
• Not scared of heights for window or rope crews
• Physically strong for wet, heavy work

• Full PPE: waterproof suits, boots, goggles and respirators
• Higher hourly rate than standard cleaning
• Night-shift and standby allowances
• Paid training on machines and chemicals
