ICU Registered Nurse (Day Shift)

You'll run patient care on a busy shift at a community day clinic in Boksburg, from admission to discharge. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll report in Boksburg. Relocation is not covered for this one. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Report adverse events and near misses on the incident system the same day
• Run emergency trolley checks and respond to cardiac arrest calls
• Admit and discharge patients and explain medication and follow-up to families
• Take handover at the bedside and plan care for your allocated patients
• Monitor vital signs, fluid balance and early warning scores, and escalate changes quickly
• Supervise enrolled nurses and nursing assistants on your side of the ward
• Keep clinical notes clear, timed and signed for audits and legal records

• Current SANC registration as a Professional Nurse, with this year's annual fees paid
• Valid BLS certificate; ACLS or PALS for ICU and emergency posts
• Clean criminal record
• Solid knowledge of medication safety and the Nursing Act scope of practice

• Funded CPD points and in-house clinical training
• Paid SANC annual fees at some groups
• Night-shift and weekend allowances on top of basic pay

• List your speciality skills in plain words, such as "ventilated patients" or "normal deliveries", instead of just the ward name.
• Put your SANC number and the units you've worked in at the very top of your CV; recruiters filter on these first.
