ICU Registered Nurse (Day Shift)

You'll run patient care on a busy shift at a step-down and sub-acute facility in Mokopane, from admission to discharge. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is Mokopane-based, with most of your time spent at a step-down and sub-acute facility. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Prepare patients for theatre and receive them back from recovery
• Take part in ward rounds with doctors and record the new orders
• Admit and discharge patients and explain medication and follow-up to families
• Report adverse events and near misses on the incident system the same day
• Run emergency trolley checks and respond to cardiac arrest calls

• At least 1 year of post-community-service ward experience
• Calm under pressure when a patient's condition turns quickly
• Clean criminal record
• Solid knowledge of medication safety and the Nursing Act scope of practice
• Current SANC registration as a Professional Nurse, with this year's annual fees paid
