ICU Registered Nurse (Day Shift) – Fixed-Term

Bring your SANC registration and your ward experience to a community day clinic in Worcester that needs a steady pair of hands. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

The work is in Worcester, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Monitor vital signs, fluid balance and early warning scores, and escalate changes quickly
• Prepare patients for theatre and receive them back from recovery
• Admit and discharge patients and explain medication and follow-up to families
• Report adverse events and near misses on the incident system the same day
• Run emergency trolley checks and respond to cardiac arrest calls

• You can work 12-hour day or night shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Calm under pressure when a patient's condition turns quickly
• Current SANC registration as a Professional Nurse, with this year's annual fees paid
• At least 1 year of post-community-service ward experience
• Nursing qualification via the R425 diploma or R174 degree route

• Study support for post-basic specialities
• Paid SANC annual fees at some groups
• Medical aid and pension fund contributions after probation
