Job Description

Clients trust your advice at this personal injury and medical negligence firm in Brackenfell, so it has to be sound and practical. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is in Brackenfell (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

What you'll actually do

Draft and review contracts, shareholder agreements and legal opinions
Brief counsel and prepare them for trial and opposed motions
Record billable time and hit the monthly target
Supervise and train candidate attorneys and paralegals
Manage a portfolio of litigation or advisory matters on your own

Must-haves

Enrolled with the Legal Practice Council and holding a current Fidelity Fund certificate if you handle trust money
Sound judgement under deadline pressure
Right of appearance in the High Court for litigation posts
Strong drafting and legal research
At least 2 years of post-admission experience in the relevant field
Able to manage client relationships without a senior in the room

Helpful, not essential

Experience on bank or insurer panels
Notarial admission
Certificate in data protection or compliance

Clear path to directorship at some firms
