Industrial Relations Practitioner

You'll handle the full HR cycle for a private hospital in Brakpan, from hiring to hearings. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Location: Brakpan, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Run onboarding, contracts and probation reviews for new staff.
• Compile the Employment Equity report and the Workplace Skills Plan.
• Update HR policies when labour law changes.
• Track leave, absenteeism and sick notes and act on patterns.
• Chair or initiate disciplinary hearings and write up the outcome.
• Handle grievances with notes, dates and a clear written outcome.
• Coordinate training and submit SETA grant claims on time.

• Solid working knowledge of the LRA, BCEA and EEA
• Good report writing and Excel
• CCMA experience, at least at conciliation
• Confident facilitating hard conversations with managers and unions

• HR system experience such as Sage 300 People or PaySpace
• SABPP registration
• Skills development facilitator (SDF) training

• Quantify your IR work: how many hearings, CCMA cases and outcomes; that is what HR managers check first.
