Installation Electrician (Wireman's Licence) – Immediate Start

Got your trade test and a steady hand on a DB board? This facilities management company in Pretoria East needs you on the tools. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The site is in Pretoria East; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Complete job cards, material lists and test reports at the end of each job
• Supervise and teach an electrical assistant or apprentice on site
• Test installations and issue Certificates of Compliance where your registration allows
• Quote small jobs for clients and explain the fault in plain language
• Replace faulty light fittings, plugs, geyser elements and thermostats

• Solid working knowledge of SANS 10142-1 and the Electrical Installation Regulations
• At least 3 years working as a qualified electrician after your trade test
• Electrical trade test certificate (Section 13 or 26D) through a QCTO-accredited centre
• Valid Code 08 driver's licence
• Comfortable working at heights on ladders and in roof spaces
• Your own basic hand tools and a calibrated multimeter

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekends
• Company-issued test instruments, calibrated every year
• Company bakkie for call-outs and travel between sites
• Standby allowance when you are on the after-hours roster

• List two or three recent jobs with sizes, like a 60-point house rewire or a 10 kVA inverter install. It shows your level quickly.
• If you have issued CoCs before, say how many and for what type of property.
