Job Description

This conference and events venue in Mossel Bay wants someone who can open doors and keep accounts for years. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll report in Mossel Bay. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What your day looks like

Respond to RFQs and tenders with complete supplier packs, including B-BBEE certificates.
Work with operations to hand over new clients smoothly.
Negotiate contract terms, rentals and service-level agreements.
Prospect new companies by phone, LinkedIn and walk-ins in business parks.
Visit key accounts monthly and check how the service is going.
Chase overdue accounts with the credit department before they grow.
Attend trade shows and industry breakfasts to meet buyers.

You'll need

Confident with Excel, Outlook and a CRM
2 or more years of business-to-business sales with a proven record
Solid presentation and negotiation skills
Resilient enough to handle long sales cycles and rejection
Valid driver's licence and your own reliable car
You close deals, not just collect meetings

Extra points for

An existing network of buyers in your sector
A technical trade or engineering background for sales engineer roles
