IT Helpdesk Agent (Night Shift)

You'll be the person who fixes it when laptops, printers and logins break at a group of private schools in Fourways. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

The site is in Fourways; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops
• Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system
• Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
• Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers
• Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves

• At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
• Patient and friendly with non-technical users
• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
• Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
• Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
• Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma

• Experience with Intune or SCCM for device management
• CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
• Experience supporting point-of-sale or medical devices

• Clear path to second-line and systems roles
• Travel allowance for field technicians
• Paid certification exams after probation

• Be ready for a practical test on a real laptop or a phone troubleshooting role-play.
• Describe the size of the environment you supported, such as "400 users across 6 branches".
