IT Helpdesk Agent (Night Shift)

You'll be the person who fixes it when laptops, printers and logins break at a hospital group in Richards Bay. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a hospital group in Richards Bay. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Write short how-to guides for common user problems
• Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
• Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops
• Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes
• Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
• Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers
• Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine

• Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
• Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma
• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
• At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
• Patient and friendly with non-technical users

• Experience with Intune or SCCM for device management
• CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
• Experience supporting point-of-sale or medical devices

• Travel allowance for field technicians
• Clear path to second-line and systems roles
• Standby pay for after-hours cover
