IT Infrastructure Engineer (Hybrid Environment)

You'll keep servers, networks and cloud services up and secure for an university IT department in Mamelodi. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is Mamelodi-based, with most of your time spent at an university IT department.

• Run and test backups, and do regular restore drills
• Apply monthly patches to servers and network devices
• Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins
• Document network diagrams and change records
• Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID

• Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
• At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration
• Clear change management and documentation habits
• Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance

• Experience with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel or Wazuh
• ISO 27001 audit experience
