IT Intern (Support Desk)

Get hands-on support experience at a hospital group in Midrand, from password resets to new laptop builds. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is Midrand-based, with most of your time spent at a hospital group. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
• Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
• Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers
• Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine
• Write short how-to guides for common user problems

• At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
• Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
• Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes

• CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
• Experience with Intune or SCCM for device management

• Paid certification exams after probation
• Clear path to second-line and systems roles
• Company laptop and cellphone

• List your certifications right under your name; A+ and ITIL are common keyword filters.
• Be ready for a practical test on a real laptop or a phone troubleshooting role-play.
