IT Intern (Support Desk)

You'll be the person who fixes it when laptops, printers and logins break at a corporate head office in Vereeniging. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Home base is a corporate head office on the Vereeniging side of Gauteng.

• Troubleshoot Outlook, Teams and OneDrive problems for users
• Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes
• Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
• Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
• Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine
• Write short how-to guides for common user problems
• Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops

• Patient and friendly with non-technical users
• Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma
• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
• Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
• Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365

• Paid certification exams after probation

• Describe the size of the environment you supported, such as "400 users across 6 branches".
• Be ready for a practical test on a real laptop or a phone troubleshooting role-play.
