Job Description

Tickets come in all day at this group of private schools in Pinetown, and you close them. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a group of private schools on the Pinetown side of KwaZulu-Natal.

What you'll actually do

Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine
Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system
Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues
Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops
Write short how-to guides for common user problems

What you need

Patient and friendly with non-technical users
Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi

Helpful, not essential

Experience supporting point-of-sale or medical devices
CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
