IT Support Technician (Field Services)

Get hands-on support experience at a call centre campus in Alberton, from password resets to new laptop builds. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is Alberton-based, with most of your time spent at a call centre campus.

• Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system
• Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
• Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers
• Troubleshoot Outlook, Teams and OneDrive problems for users
• Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues
• Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes

• Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
• Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma
• At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
• Patient and friendly with non-technical users
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365

• Experience with Intune or SCCM for device management
• Experience supporting point-of-sale or medical devices
