Junior Data Analyst (Graduate Programme)

You'll turn messy data into reports managers actually use, for a retail chain analytics team in Alberton. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll report in Alberton. Relocation is not covered for this one. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Write SQL to pull, join and clean data from several sources
• Automate weekly reports that used to take hours in Excel
• Keep a data dictionary so everyone uses the same definitions
• Present findings to managers in plain language with clear charts
• Build simple forecasting and segmentation models in Python or R
• Check data quality and trace odd numbers back to the source

• At least 2 years in a data or reporting role (not needed for graduate posts)
• Careful with sensitive customer data
• Strong SQL, including joins, window functions and CTEs
• Able to explain what the numbers mean, not just show them
• Advanced Excel
• Degree in statistics, maths, computer science, economics or a related field

• Microsoft PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst certification
• Industry knowledge in retail, insurance or credit

• Latest laptop with extra screen
