Junior IT Technician (Schools)

A corporate head office in Benoni needs a calm tech who can help frustrated users get back to work. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a corporate head office on the Benoni side of Gauteng. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops
• Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system
• Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
• Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
• Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
• Write short how-to guides for common user problems

• Patient and friendly with non-technical users
• Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma
• Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
• Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi

• Experience supporting point-of-sale or medical devices
• Experience with Intune or SCCM for device management
• CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification

• Clear path to second-line and systems roles
• Paid certification exams after probation
• Standby pay for after-hours cover
