Junior IT Technician (Schools)

Tickets come in all day at this corporate head office in Boksburg, and you close them. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Location: Boksburg, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Write short how-to guides for common user problems
• Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops
• Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
• Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues
• Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves

• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
• Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
• Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
• Patient and friendly with non-technical users
• At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)

• Experience with Intune or SCCM for device management
• Experience supporting point-of-sale or medical devices
• CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification

• Standby pay for after-hours cover
• Paid certification exams after probation
• Clear path to second-line and systems roles

• List your certifications right under your name; A+ and ITIL are common keyword filters.
