Job Description

You'll be the person who fixes it when laptops, printers and logins break at a managed IT services provider in Rosslyn. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is in Rosslyn (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

What you'll actually do

Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system
Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
Write short how-to guides for common user problems
Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine
Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues

You'll need

Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
Patient and friendly with non-technical users
Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi

Nice if you have

CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
Experience with Intune or SCCM for device management
ITIL Foundation
