Junior IT Technician (Schools)

A group of private schools in Tzaneen needs a calm tech who can help frustrated users get back to work. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a group of private schools in Tzaneen. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Write short how-to guides for common user problems
• Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues
• Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes
• Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
• Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers

• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
• At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
• Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
• Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma

• Standby pay for after-hours cover
• Company laptop and cellphone
• Paid certification exams after probation
• Clear path to second-line and systems roles

• List your certifications right under your name; A+ and ITIL are common keyword filters.
• Describe the size of the environment you supported, such as "400 users across 6 branches".
