Junior Software Developer (Graduate Programme) – Fixed-Term

Write clean code, review pull requests and fix what breaks at a software development house in Germiston. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at a software development house in Germiston. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
• Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
• Document how your features work for support and new developers
• Handle personal data safely, with POPIA rules in mind
• Write unit and integration tests before you merge

• A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build
• Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
• Experience writing automated tests
• Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
• Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages

• Public GitHub portfolio or published app
• Cloud certification on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of secure coding and the OWASP Top 10
