Job Description

Here your code runs in production, not in a drawer: a bank's digital channels team in Rosslyn. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Location: Rosslyn, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What you'll actually do

Pick up tickets from the sprint board and estimate the work
Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs
Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
Document how your features work for support and new developers
Write unit and integration tests before you merge
Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning
Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards

Must-haves

Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
Experience writing automated tests
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
