Junior Software Developer (Graduate Programme) – Entry Level

Here your code runs in production, not in a drawer: a fintech start-up in Sandton. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll be based at a fintech start-up in Sandton. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
• Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
• Document how your features work for support and new developers
• Handle personal data safely, with POPIA rules in mind
• Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards

• A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build
• You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
• Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
• Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
• Good SQL and understanding of relational databases

• Knowledge of secure coding and the OWASP Top 10
• Public GitHub portfolio or published app

• Tidy your public repos before you apply; recruiters and tech leads really do open them.
