Job Description

Write clean code, review pull requests and fix what breaks at a bank's digital channels team in Vanderbijlpark. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is Vanderbijlpark-based, with most of your time spent at a bank's digital channels team.

What your day looks like

Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning
Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
Write unit and integration tests before you merge
Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards
Pair with junior developers to unblock them

What you need

A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
Experience writing automated tests
Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages

Extra points for

Experience in regulated sectors such as banking or medical schemes
Docker and Kubernetes experience
