Job Description

Quick hands and good eyes are all an avocado packhouse near Prospecton really needs from you. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is Prospecton-based, with most of your time spent at an avocado packhouse.

What you'll actually do

Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run
Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet
Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
Help clean the line and machines at the end of the day
Build pallets to the correct height and strap them

What you need

Basic counting and reading for labels
Quick and neat with your hands
Available for the full packing season including Saturdays
Able to stand at a line for long shifts
Arrives on time for early shifts

Extra points for

Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.
Matric for QC posts
Previous packhouse work
