Job Description

Packing season at a citrus packhouse near Sasolburg means lots of shifts and lots of work. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

This post is Sasolburg-based, with most of your time spent at a citrus packhouse. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

What you'll actually do

Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run
Move pallets into cold rooms and record temperatures
Sort fruit by size, colour and blemish on the packing line
Build pallets to the correct height and strap them

What you need

Available for the full packing season including Saturdays
Basic counting and reading for labels
Follows hygiene rules at all times
Able to stand at a line for long shifts
Quick and neat with your hands
Valid ID or permit

On offer

Rehire for next season if you perform well
