Laundry Attendant (Hotel Linen Room)

You'll turn rooms around at a beachfront holiday resort in Sandton so every guest walks into a room that feels new. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Home base is a beachfront holiday resort on the Sandton side of Gauteng.

• Vacuum, dust and check the minibar in each room
• Clean lobby, lifts and public toilets through the day
• Load, wash, dry and press linen in the hotel laundry
• Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included
• Keep your trolley stocked and neat before each shift
• Log lost property with the guest's room number and date

• Honest, since you work in guests' rooms alone
• Grade 10 or matric
• Friendly and polite if you meet guests in the corridor
• Physically able to push trolleys and turn mattresses

• Previous hotel or guesthouse housekeeping experience
• A hospitality short course or NQF Level 2 accommodation services certificate
• Experience with industrial laundry machines

• Uniform supplied and laundered
• Meals on duty from the staff kitchen
• Staff accommodation at remote lodges
• Share of the service charge or guest tips

• Mention seasonal availability for December and Easter. Coastal and lodge properties hire heavily before those peaks.
