Job Description

Housekeeping keeps a conference hotel in eMalahleni running quietly in the background. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is in eMalahleni (Mpumalanga). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

The work, day to day

Wash, dry and press linen and table cloths in the laundry.
Restock minibars, amenities and tea trays and note what was used.
Vacuum, mop and dust rooms from top to bottom.
Update room status on the housekeeping app or board after each room.
Inspect rooms against the checklist before release to front office.

What you need

Hotel, guesthouse or domestic cleaning experience
Weekend and public holiday work
Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day
Grade 10 or higher

Helpful, not essential

Chemical handling training
Basic first aid certificate
