Job Description

You'll help learners who are stuck finally get it, one session at a time, for a remedial learning centre in Cape Town CBD. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

The site is in Cape Town CBD; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Prepare learners for control tests with short timed practice drills
Work through past exam papers and marking memos with learners
Log hours and sessions on the agency's booking system for payment
Teach one-on-one or in small groups of up to six
Set practice work between sessions and check it next time
Assess a new learner's level with a short diagnostic test

You'll need

Own transport for home tutoring posts
Reliable internet and a quiet place to teach for online posts
Currently studying at university, or holding a degree or diploma
Police clearance for work with minors
Distinction or strong pass in the subject you'll tutor
