Learning Support Facilitator (Remedial Centre)

A home tutoring agency in Midrand needs a patient tutor who can turn a failing mark into a pass. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Home base is a home tutoring agency on the Midrand side of Gauteng. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Plan sessions that target the exact topics the learner is failing
• Assess a new learner's level with a short diagnostic test
• Run live video lessons with a headset, whiteboard app and stable connection
• Work through past exam papers and marking memos with learners
• Teach one-on-one or in small groups of up to six

• Clear, patient way of explaining ideas
• Police clearance for work with minors
• Own transport for home tutoring posts
• Currently studying at university, or holding a degree or diploma
• Available at least three afternoons or evenings a week
• Distinction or strong pass in the subject you'll tutor

• Hourly rate that rises with your ratings and results
• Flexible hours you choose each week
• Work from home on online posts

• Record a two-minute video explaining one tough concept; it often gets you booked faster than a CV.
• List exactly which afternoons you're free, because timetable fit decides most tutoring bookings.
