Job Description

Know your way around SANS 10254 and a geyser drip tray? The residential plumbing company in Brackenfell wants to hear from you. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll report in Brackenfell. Relocation is not covered for this one. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

The work, day to day

Replace burst geysers and fit vacuum breakers, drip trays and pressure control valves to SANS 10254
Clear blocked drains with a rodding machine and inspect lines with a drain camera
Service booster pumps, pressure tanks and water storage tanks
Install copper, PEX and PVC piping for new bathrooms and kitchens
Fit toilets, basins, showers and mixers to the client's chosen finishes

What you need

Code 08 licence and a clean driving record
Able to talk politely to home owners about damage and costs
At least 3 years as a qualified plumber, including geyser replacements
Working knowledge of SANS 10252-1 and SANS 10254
Plumbing trade test certificate or an Occupational Certificate: Plumber (NQF 4)
PIRB registration as a Licensed Plumber, so you can issue plumbing CoCs

Extra points for

Drain camera and high-pressure jetting experience
SAQCC Gas registration for LPG installations
Experience with insurance repair work and claim paperwork
