Job Description

Plumbing work that keeps Brits homes and buildings running: this private hospital maintenance department needs a trade-tested plumber. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a private hospital maintenance department on the Brits side of North West.

What you'll actually do

Work on the emergency call-out roster for after-hours bursts
Clear blocked drains with a rodding machine and inspect lines with a drain camera
Install copper, PEX and PVC piping for new bathrooms and kitchens
Service booster pumps, pressure tanks and water storage tanks
Take photos and complete the insurer's claim report after each geyser job
Replace burst geysers and fit vacuum breakers, drip trays and pressure control valves to SANS 10254

Must-haves

At least 3 years as a qualified plumber, including geyser replacements
Working knowledge of SANS 10252-1 and SANS 10254
Code 08 licence and a clean driving record
Plumbing trade test certificate or an Occupational Certificate: Plumber (NQF 4)

Extra points for

Heat pump and solar geyser installation experience
Experience with insurance repair work and claim paperwork
