Linux Systems Administrator

A managed services provider in Alberton needs infrastructure that just works, and someone to make it so. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

This post is in Alberton (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

• Run and test backups, and do regular restore drills
• Document network diagrams and change records
• Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts
• Build and maintain virtual machines on Hyper-V, VMware or Azure
• Handle access requests and keep records that support POPIA compliance
• Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
• Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins

• Clear change management and documentation habits
• Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
• Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
• Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts

• Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or AWS Solutions Architect Associate
• Experience with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel or Wazuh
