Linux Systems Administrator

You'll keep servers, networks and cloud services up and secure for an internet service provider in Mthatha. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll report in Mthatha. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
• Configure switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewall rules
• Handle access requests and keep records that support POPIA compliance
• Apply monthly patches to servers and network devices
• Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins
• Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts

• Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
• Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
• Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
• At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration

• CCNA, Fortinet NSE or MikroTik certification
• ISO 27001 audit experience
• Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or AWS Solutions Architect Associate
