Linux Systems Administrator

You'll keep servers, networks and cloud services up and secure for a financial services company in Polokwane. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is Polokwane-based, with most of your time spent at a financial services company.

• Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures
• Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts
• Apply monthly patches to servers and network devices
• Configure switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewall rules
• Run and test backups, and do regular restore drills

• Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
• Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
• At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration
• Clear change management and documentation habits
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
• Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
