Linux Systems Administrator

Patch, monitor, back up and harden systems at an internet service provider in Rosslyn. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Home base is an internet service provider on the Rosslyn side of Gauteng. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts
• Document network diagrams and change records
• Handle access requests and keep records that support POPIA compliance
• Apply monthly patches to servers and network devices
• Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID
• Plan hardware refreshes and licence renewals with a budget

• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
• Clear change management and documentation habits
• Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
• At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts

• Experience with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel or Wazuh
• Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Ansible
• ISO 27001 audit experience
