Job Description

You'll keep servers, networks and cloud services up and secure for a manufacturing group with several sites in Welkom. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll report in Welkom. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What you'll actually do

Run and test backups, and do regular restore drills
Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures
Plan hardware refreshes and licence renewals with a budget
Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts
Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins
Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID

What you need

At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration
Clear change management and documentation habits
Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
