Liquor Store General Assistant

You'll keep the shelves full and tidy at a wholesale cash-and-carry in Pietermaritzburg, so shoppers find what they came for. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is in Pietermaritzburg (KwaZulu-Natal). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables
• Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves
• Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
• Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled
• Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle
• Collect trolleys from the parking lot

• Able to stand and lift cases all shift
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
• Neat appearance and punctual
• Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
• Grade 10 or matric
• Polite with customers and happy to help
