Job Description

Cleaning, laundry and a hand with the kids: that is the week in a family home in Fourways. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a family home on the Fourways side of Gauteng. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

What you'll actually do

Dust furniture, ornaments and skirting boards
Help an elderly person with meals, medication reminders and light walking
Clean windows and patio doors once a week
Wash, hang, iron and fold the household's laundry
Get children ready for school and supervise homework in the afternoon

Must-haves

Willing to follow the family's house rules and routines
Able to handle a full-day physical routine
Good with children and patient
Able to speak and understand basic English
South African ID or valid work permit

Nice if you have

Experience caring for an older person
A driver's licence for school lifts
Non-smoker

What you get
