Job Description

Animals do not take weekends off, and a sheep farm near Kariega needs caring, reliable hands. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll report in Kariega. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What your day looks like

Move animals between camps or pens calmly
Milk cows in the parlour following the milking routine
Collect eggs or check broiler house temperatures
Feed animals the right ration at the right time
Follow biosecurity rules like foot baths and clean overalls
Check animals for illness or injury and report to the manager
Help the vet with vaccinations and treatments

What you need

South African ID or a legal work permit
Able to live on the farm or close by
Willing to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays on rotation
Reliable, since animals depend on you
Comfortable around large animals

Helpful, not essential

Animal health or AgriSETA short course
Supervisory experience for foreman roles

On offer
