Job Description

Get off the road and into the control office at a bus and coach operator in Centurion. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is Centurion-based, with most of your time spent at a bus and coach operator. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What your day looks like

Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
Update customers on delivery times and delays
Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system

What you need

Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
At least 2 years in transport or logistics
Calm and decisive when things go wrong
Good with Excel and email
Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
Clear on the phone with drivers and customers

Extra points for

Logistics or supply chain certificate
Previous truck driving experience
Knowledge of cross-border documentation
