Job Description

Behind every truck on the road is a controller; at a distribution depot in Centurion, that could be you. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is in Centurion (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

The work, day to day

Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
Update customers on delivery times and delays
Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route
Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries

Must-haves

At least 2 years in transport or logistics
Matric
Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
Calm and decisive when things go wrong

Extra points for

Logistics or supply chain certificate
Transport management system (TMS) experience
Experience on a vehicle telematics platform
