Loading Bay Hand (Beverage Depot)

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this parcel sorting hub in Ermelo, and you move the stock in between. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll report in Ermelo. Relocation is not covered for this one.

• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off

• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• No criminal record
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts

• Basic furniture assembly skills
• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops

• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Uniform and safety shoes provided

• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
