Job Description

Retail in Atlantis runs on thin margins, and a retail distribution centre needs someone guarding its stock. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll report in Atlantis. Relocation is not covered for this one.

The work, day to day

Detain suspects lawfully and call SAPS, then write a statement
Share trends with the store manager each week
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft
Help with stock counts and point out loss hot-spots
Check receiving bay deliveries against invoices and seal numbers
Record every incident with photos, times and value of goods

Must-haves

Available for retail hours including month-end weekends
Discreet, observant and honest
Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4
Good report writing
PSIRA registration, Grade C at least
Able to handle confrontation calmly

Nice if you have

Experience giving evidence in court
Previous store detective experience with case outcomes
