Job Description

Blend in, watch closely and act lawfully: that is loss prevention at a fashion retail store in Thohoyandou. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll be based at a fashion retail store in Thohoyandou. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What you'll actually do

Tag high-value stock and check security tags at the doors
Check receiving bay deliveries against invoices and seal numbers
Detain suspects lawfully and call SAPS, then write a statement
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft
Attend court as a witness when a case goes to trial

You'll need

Able to handle confrontation calmly
Knowledge of lawful arrest and search under the Criminal Procedure Act
PSIRA registration, Grade C at least
Available for retail hours including month-end weekends

Helpful, not essential

Retail loss prevention course
Experience giving evidence in court
Previous store detective experience with case outcomes
